Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has contracted a severe eye infection, conjunctivitis, reportedly passed on from his daughter Raha Kapoor. According to TV9 Bangla, despite this discomfort, Ranbir plans to participate in a high-profile event in Delhi on July 18, showcasing the trailer launch of the much-anticipated epic film "Ramayan."

The infection, which initially affected little Raha, has now impacted Ranbir’s eyes. However, his dedication to work remains unwavering. To conceal the infection and protect himself, Ranbir will appear wearing dark glasses at the event held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi.

Sources close to the film team reveal that even with the infection causing significant irritation, Ranbir refuses to skip the event. His professionalism and commitment to the project are well known in Bollywood circles.

"Ramayan," directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is set to be one of the most expensive Indian films ever made, with a budget of approximately 4,000 crore INR. The trailer launch event is generating considerable excitement in the film industry and among fans.

Following the Delhi launch, the movie will also be showcased at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in the United States on July 23. This will mark only the second Indian film after "Kalki 2898 AD" to be featured at this prestigious international platform. Ranbir Kapoor is expected to attend this event as well.

With music composed jointly by A.R. Rahman and Oscar-winning Hans Zimmer, "Ramayan" will be released in two parts. The first installment is scheduled to hit theaters during Diwali 2026, promising a cinematic spectacle.
